    1. Current rules use SCA corporate standards for weapons & armor. Atlantian conventions for combat
    2. BoD just approved corporate rules updates restoring incidental contact and cut & thrust.
      • Incidental contact will be allowed in Atlantia as soon as the rule is official at the corporate level (appears on the main SCA rules page).
      • Cut & thrust rules for Atlantia are undergoing review by KEM & Crowns. This will take some time.
    3. Small tweaks to the current rules will appear in the Acorn SOON and are effective when they do appear
      • Foils are still legal
      • No rattan daggers
      • tip/push cuts will become optional

  6. Support staff
    1. MoLs, waterbearers, chirugeons, heralds, etc are all giving of their free time so we can play. Rudeness will not be tolerated
    2. Your MoL is responsible for nearly all paperwork related to combat including authorizations, youth waivers, membership, etc. Rely on them and support them.

  7. Event reporting Please give us details on both good and bad things so we can detect patterns if things occur at multiple events.

  8. Authorizations
    1. Brief quiz on rules Have they read them? Then 2-10 minutes of random questions to verify that they have they have the spirit of what the rules mean. Verbatim quoting is not required.
    2. Short fencing test Are they safe? Do they throw and accept blows at the proper calibration? Do they have control when pressed?
    3. You need a reason to fail someone, preferably a rule you can quote that they are not meeting

  9. Rules
    1. Anything anyone wants to discuss?
    2. Marshal flavors - any warranted marshal can be a group Knight’s marshal or MiC at an event or practice. An appropriate flavored warranted marshal is required for each discipline that takes place.
